Equestrian & Livery

Horses are at the centre of everything we do at Pathhead. Here you can find up to date information about our horses, services, and prices. You can even have a look at our horses and learn a little about them. Please feel free to contact us for further information.

The modern trend of keeping horses and ponies in individual paddocks does have certain advantages. Where an animal may be over/underweight, have medical issues or require monitoring for any number of reasons, we have allocated a small number of individual paddocks where all the horses and ponies are adjacent to each other but are still separated by a fence line. This new arrangement appears to be working well.

All our equines are checked daily whether stabled or out in the fields. We have a strict feeding regime and our horses do not require any additional feeding. Please do NOT feed them.

Any new horses coming onto the yard to stay for any length of time must be quarantined. Please see our livery rules for more information.

Any horses coming onto the yard for training or competition purposes should abide by the yard rules as they would on most other good yards. These rule are in the competition section of our web site.

All of our equines are given ad-lib hay or haylage, both in the field and in their stables.
