Glasshouse

Vegetable garden

Our vegetable garden is expanding. Our lovely glasshouse, which I bought from Angus council about 25 years ago is moving from its current home. This is the third time we've moved it since it arrived at Pathhead. Great testament to the strength and durability of this form of glasshouse (Mansard type). We are in the process of lifting our grape vines and moving them into large pots for replanting in their new position when the house is shifted and we hope we can save our beautiful nectarine as well.

The house is moving because we need the existing space for the relocation of our livery barn into the vacated site adjacent to the outdoor school. As well as moving the glasshouse onto the new site, we are also erecting a new polytunnel with the view of growing a lot of vegetables and fruit under glass and polythene.
