Pathhead Cafe (The Garden Cafe)

Halfway up the farmyard sits Pathhead Cafe. The Cafe is the hub of all activities on the farm. Whether it be a horse show or a pumpkin patch day or simply a meeting of one of the many organisations of the town who use us as a venue. You are always welcome.

Here's what we do: -

We serve good, simple food, prepared on the premises. Much of what you will be eating is grown in our vegetable garden less than 50 metres away and produced on a seasonal basis under glass, polythene or out in our garden. we also use and supply locally grown produce from our farming friends and neighbours.

We are a friendly+

Changes are taking place

Pathhead has taken the cafe back under its own management. Dean, who has had the cafe for the last five years, is moving onto other things and we wish him every success in his new venture. Over the next few weeks we'll be doing various things in and around the cafe to increase your enjoyment of Pathhead. This won't be instant so we ask you to be patient while work is ongoing**.**

We will be open while this work is happening.

The cafe will be open for tea/coffee/juice, toasties, sandwiches, soup and cakes from the 1st of March. As time moves on we will expand our menu.

Our opening hours are 9am - 5pm. every day where teas and coffees etc will be available all day with our main menu being available between 10am and 3.30pm.

AUGUST 2023

Well, six months in and the steepest learning curve ever. Nobody told me what hard work it is looking after the dietery needs of the population. Fae mince and tatties to Hummus and pitta bread, fae Lentil soup like yer granny used to mak' to curried Carribean cauliflower and coconut soup, we're having to change and adapt to all the varying and exciting tastes of modern Scotland. That doesna' mean that you can't still get a good, full on Scotttish breakfast whenever you need one - Nae bather!

Sorry! Ponies aren't permitted inside the cafe but hay will be provided.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome with their humans.

We are currently constructing a new market garden which will eventually be able to supply fresh fruit and veg (and some cut flowers) to the cafe, as well as being for sale directly. Our aim is to produce wholesome fresh food with zero miles and an exceptionally low carbon footprint, grown on organic principles. You are very welcome to wander into the garden and also have a wee look in our greenhouse.

Part of these changes is going to be the addition of an area of farm shop within the cafe, where we will carry stock from our own small market garden, and from other local producers and farms.

We will also be adding a small line of horse and pony tack and equipment.

The cafe will be available for evening hire. Please ask Ally for details 07968239752
